Caritas Outreach Ministries was established in October 1992 as a collaborative, ecumenical effort of Northwest Spokane churches to demonstrate Christ’s love to our neighbors in need. Caritas quickly became a formal 501c3 not for profit organization in spring of 1993.

By working together, sharing our strengths, resources and information, we can serve our community in bigger and better ways than on our own. Caritas depends on a network of supporters and a fantastic team of volunteers to maintain client services. With just one paid staff member, Caritas keeps overhead costs low to maximize services for the low income and displaced persons in need. We believe everyone has intrinsic value and deserves to be treated with respect and human dignity. Caritas is committed to equipping and empowering our neighbors in the midst of life’s setbacks.
