Damaged food unfit for humans is set aside for animal feed. Bulk eggs are checked for cracks and messy cartons are replaced.
Caritas is so grateful for our fantastic volunteers! Keeping food safe from the point of Grocery Rescue until it reaches our clients is paramount to our operation. There are so many unseen details that go into a successful day at the food bank. And even under masks, smiles are big and bright!
